Compuplast's ® ProfileWorks ™ "plug-in" for SolidWorks has been developed to help profile die designers evaluate their profile dies quickly and efficiently before they actualy go through the time and expense of building them and running them on the line. A "wizard" has been developed to guide the user through the process, step-by-step, making the analysis as easy as possible. The software includes material database tools with viscosity data fitting functions to add your own materials.
The Compuplast ® ProfileWorks ™ "plug-in" is the first flow simulation tool developed specifically for the profile extrusion industry. It is meant to be used in conjunction with the Compuplast ® Cross Flow Minimization™ (CFM) method of die design. While it is quite powerful on its own, ProfileWorks ™should be considered as an introductory step towards the Compuplast ® Virtual Extrusion Laboratory™ for Profile Die design. With the full package, the user has the ability to automatically optimize the flow geometry. |
